Re: Old Warden...
Lovely collection of pictures there, Peter. Thank you for sharing them.
Wherever you go, there you are.
Re: Old Warden...
Great pictures Peter. I saw some shadows in several shots - which means the sun had to be out at least part of the time. ;-)

Some great pictures there, and nice to know you had a half-decent day weather wise. Old Warden certainly is the venue for such gatherings.

Yes Joe, he was having fun wasn't he?...With blood curdling screams to accompany the charge!...The Home Guard were very well turned out.airboatr wrote:I like the aircraft pictures but , 50 and 51 ...... that guy sure was having some fun

Re: Old Warden...
Wonderful photographs Peter and pleased to hear that you had a most enjoyable day, the weather could not have been any better by the looks of it.
So the Luftwaffe were suitably represented there on the day but what happened to the boys in blue?
Great to see the Home Guard and you could almost imagine Arther Lowe and Clive Dunn in that lot!!
Regards
Nigel.

Re: Old Warden...
Nigel, I think some of them tried to look like various members of "Dad's Army"...At one stage I saw a chap sporting a grey wig and looking exactly like Clive Dunn, but I don't see it in that photoNigel H-J wrote:

Yes the weather was warm and fine with sunshine a lot of the time...many sun-hats in evidence and I had to wear one. Got a burnt nose though  I enjoyed the business of tracking a flying aircraft and was getting quite good at it by the end of the day (good practice for if I ever get up to the Mach Loop in Wales) :flying:
