At least I can claim to be older, (just - by a few days), than the 'Space Race'.

Given my interest in the Vulcan/s, this might be from the fact that may parents took me to one of the RAF Finningley displays in the early 1960's, (I don't remember this bit, & thankfully does not have the same effect now!!), but when the Vulcan displayed I'm told I cried & wailed alot :(( )
