Are you completely mad? The whole point is the utter freedom of it

Indeed.. some good one-liners to be had around here  I dunno about the rustle of a crisp 10 bob note mate.. the flick of a shiny halfcrown would work for me (though the rest of my fashion police posse may also require some re-numeration) ;) As long as the traffic lights aren't on red.. you're safe. Peddle as if the devil himself was behind you :D

I did wonder what cycling and Sally-in-the-woods had in common (you'll have to hide the bikes better than that!). Your face must have been a picture Ian when you went over into that descent. Still, it's the going up again bit that I really hate.

I did some cycling in France recently - I'll have to post some pictures from that. One especially good one of a dead dog by the side of the road (not the intended target of the picture) which was oddly funny in a stuffed dog kind of way.

Very picturesque cycling routes you have there.

Regards,
Chris

Great pics, Ian! Are you sure Sally-in-the-Woods isn't named after the first lady to ride a bicycle down that very steep hill? ;) Maybe you should consider taking a female friend on a ride. Valerie and I always have nice chats and she occasionally pays for our lunch. The only drawback is that I can ride much farther when I ride by myself.

Well, obviously I'd consider taking Valerie along on a ride, Brian  She wouldn't even have to buy lunch and I wouldn't mind riding less far, either

all these pics of the cycle without it's rider... *-)
how can I be sure it isn't the bike who is posting these threads after a day out on it's own....
as though it has developed a personality of it's own :worried:
