I need to correct my earlier statements. Alenia was not the one at fault for the wing issue. It was Mitsubishi. Alenia had problems delivering their parts on time which was a major factor in earlier delays. I also confirmed that Boeing indeed does not do the detailed engineering. They give the subcontractor a set of performance specs and the detailed outer shape and leave it up the the sub contractor to fill in the structure appropriately.

Right, found it: go to 787 Milestones on that site, click on 'view milestones' and look at the 'High-speed Taxi Test' feature. It's in there (in between the sales talk).

Sorry Like Garry I find it very ugly like most modern airliners - I watched the conga line coming out of LAS on Sunday Airbus Boeing Airbus Boeing you get the picture -- then One of our own Maddogs
roared off to the upper midwest -- and yes I'm biased but she looked so sleek compared to the A and B lookalikes -- And of course the Douglas lineage nose still there fifty years on.

the company almost seven years ago - to 55 in operation and 25 more coming from SAS -- Oh yes we also bought 18 from Japan but they have all been reduced to spares in Maranna.

BA = Boeing Aircraft. All of the "first" aircraft have had NxxxBA as the registration (with XXX being the model - 707, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 787, etc). In addition, Boeing has other "BA" registrations on file for test flights (N738BA and N739BA are notable for the NG 737s) and it's actually not unusual for more than one aircraft to be wearing the same registration at the same time when at the factory, just as long as they don't fly at the same time.
