'Connections' also aired on this side of the pond on PBS several years ago. It was must see TV for me. Excellent! Oh I can confirm the music was the opening of 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' by Richard Strauss. It was popularized by it's use in the film '2001 A Space Odyssey.'
