Nigel H-J wrote:Interesting to see the amount of total flying hours you had logged Peter, how many did you complete on leaving the RAF?
Also would be intereesting to know how many hours spent flying commercially with BEA/BA
Nigel,
I flew 2092 Hrs 15 Mins with the R.A.F.
My last totalling of hours in BEA/BA was in October 1979 after I had flown with them for 15 years...In that first 14 years I flew 6611 Hrs 40 Mins with them...I then flew with them for another 7 years so assuming the hours rate was about the same for those last 7 years which I have not totalled at say 441 Hrs per annum then that would be another 3085 Hrs...So BEA/BEA total would be about 6612+3085=9697 Hrs...So my grand total would be about 2092+9697=11789 Hrs.
Well I alway wondered how many hours I had...So rounding it up for a few flights I don't have in my logbooks, I think I'll call it about 12 thousand hours

Wow Mark...I didn't know there was a model for Echo. I would have loved to have seen that. I don't suppose you ever took a photo of it?

How did you set up the boxes of 4, or is this done with FS Recorder ?
No, Recorder module is not used; that video shows the AI as it happens...It is done mostly by AFCAD fine worked to make the ghost airfields that form the various formations and they can most easily be made for East or West or North or South flypasts...For a long haul flight they must be made for the average great circle track that they will fly. For formation or streamed landings they can be made to operate at a full airfield but without using ATC till they get on the ground...Then they are directed to the parking in the usual way. So they can not be sent on a go-around by the tower. My Ghost airfields are totally invisible to anyone but an AI pilot. However, some AI bits were broken in FSX and I think it may not be possible to make real Ghost airfields there. I don't have FSX anymore so it is not a problem.

Many thanks for the information Peter and don't worry.....won't ask how many hours you have totalled in FS!

Nigel.
