I flew back from Dalaman to Gatwick yesterday in a 757-200 belonging to Aurela Airlines of Lithuania. Leased to Thomas Cook for this summer.
I don't know how old it was, but all the seats were in poor condition, and it was a most uncomfortable four hours. The aircrew were Lithuanian, and most of the announcements were undecipherable. Also, there were communication problems with the cabin crew, although some of them were English.
Having landed and parked up, they couldn't get the Jetway to work. We waited in the closed up aircraft for twenty five minutes for some steps, during which time an argument broke out among some of the disgruntled passengers.
Because of the delay, all the luggage was heaped up on the carousel when we got there, and more arguments broke out because somebody moved some of it off to get at theirs.
Don't just book it. Thomas Cook it!! Not the next time Tom!!

Slightly OT, but there is a 757 in there somewhere.

Some of those 75's are getting on a bit now. I know the BA shuttle I flew in a while ago looked the same vintage inside as Zulu-Kilo apart from the new seats!
