Hi Folks
An excellent well assembled doco.
Nicely portrayed some of the characters behind the build.

I thought it was a most interesting programme, but two things surprised me
1.Propulsion and Electronics apart, I was amazed at how crude the construction is ( then again , engines and electronics apart, civil aeroplanes are still rather crude)
2.I would never have allowed the girl with untied long hair into an engineering shop - and certainly not where any rotating machinery might be in use
I look forward to the next one

She was a sparks Chris not a turner/fitter
And steel fitting is still what it always was. Welding big bits of metal together.
One of the RN high ups even admitted it was driven by a fancy steam engine.

A team mate at work who served on HMS Repulse is still wingeing after watching the programme...his complaint is about the amount of crew space in 'modern softie boats'......he's been wandering around mumbling: 'At least one locker?...at least one fecking locker?...we had to fight for a share of half of one...'
