I seem to remember an episode of Top Gear from years ago where Steve northern geezer bloke (can't remember his surname) spent a week with an Indian (country rather than US motorsickle manufacturer) Royal Enfield diesel motorbike. The thing that leaps to my memory is the fact it was a large single cylinder jobby and shook his man-bits about rather more than he wanted.

LOL... A quick Google and look to the bible of all truth that is Wikipedia shows my memory isn't quite as bad as it could be and there are indeed a small number of diesel motorcycles available.

Good one Gary though on the face of it, I reckon I've seen more hens teeth. No good reason why a British built diesel motorcycle shouldn't piddle fuel everywhere mind you.. cleverly accelerating it's own demise ;)

Lol what have I stirred up?

Not all of us ride sportsbikes and go for it kneedown all the time. I didn't mean to imply that I was speeding, only if I was going slower, and had the bike more upright my head would have connected with the big fat bird instead of passing safely underneath the little bugger! :)

I've seen a few d***heads about but where I live 95% of them seem to be tracksuited scallies on L plate scooters. I hate the sound of twist and go strokers. :wall:

That's what this bloke ended up doing mate. He wound the window down and his hand was up on the roof 'pointing' for the bloke to move over 8)

No.. not all diesel vehicles are lorries mate (though all lorries may well be diesel). Diesel engined cars are as common as muck these days due to the better fuel consumption they 'used' to achieve over similar petrol engined versions. The government picked up on this and the consequence is.. where diesel was many pennies cheaper than petrol.. it is now either the same or more expensive :wall:

It's stunning at just how attuned your nose becomes to the smell of diesel when your out in the wet...
