Why did someone kick off the mirrors on all the cars in our street incl. my girlfriend's Fiesta?

A phenomenon I will never understand.

Is there anything we can do - I'm sure between us we have most of the contents on our hard drives - so if anything IS lost, then hopefully it isn't permanent. Also, what about the risk to this site? How can we protect it from the same thng happening?

B****y retards the lot of them!

One thing I would like to see is authors uploading to a few trusted sites so all the eggs are not in one basket.

Leif, oddly enough over the last few days there were odd things happening when I was logging in, can't find and error messages but I did get in.

The woodchipper I find interesting with a very low geared block and tackle to do the lowering.

For everyones information

Rob is out of pocket at present.....as soon as he resurfaces we will see what can be salvaged....unlike other FS sites that have been hacked
Rob has kept a daily backup of EVRYTHING so hopefully we can be back in business fairly quickly .
We went four years with a serious attack so I guess we had it coming.

To update any of those who may be concerned -- Rob just emailed me - He is aware, its a very simple hack - we will be back in business this evening (GMT)

AS I said above Rob has always kept a running 24 hour back so nothing has been lost or destroyed.

Well at least the Pond is still going to up and running. :)

One thing I would like to know is what do they get out of hacking a website like Classic British Files.
