Seafire Mk 15 Restoration and "First Flight"

Interesting to see they had John Beattie flying it, ex-CO of the RNHF and also flies some of Kennet Aviations collection. Can't be bad getting a trip to the States to fly a Seafire!

I thought John was, although technically 'retired' from General Manager status,staying on strength as a part-timer reservist?
Mick Jennings is still there (one of my ex- 'bosses' in RAF) I notice from the web...small world this aviation;
mind you he had more hair back then (didn't we all )

I'm not totally sure what John's status is with the RNHF these days, although I'm sure he's still flying for them. I believe an ex-boss of mine Lt Cdr Mike Abbey is now the CO as they wanted to have a serving boss for various reasons.
