Oh I wish !
Some updated gauges and a new air file ( it says here ) though I haven't got the original installed any more to compare it to. The exterior may be be sporting a new Friday The 13th repaint, though again I can't recall what the original looked like.
As you can see below, its got its problems...the artificial horizon is a somewhat un-1944-ish and some of the other gauges look a bit blurred. The yoke gets in the way of the altimeter and turn&slip. You can also see the three pop-up panels on the left.
When its raining, the cockpit glazing turns an opaque blue, except when you turn 180 degrees and look through the sliver of roof glazing above the flight engineer's position - that remains clear, for some reason.
And I still cant get the cowl flaps to move.
The 2D panel is still there too

How come the panel gauges are round and the pop ups distorted??

The Virtual Cockpit ones are still round (top pic) they always will be in a VC. The 2nd pic is a panel pic, any 2d panel that hasn't got a widescreen panel alternative will be squashed.

Oh, and you also get a radio overhead panel...and a highly 'authentic' vintage throttle quadrant if you want ( and believe me, you don't ).

Yeh.. not squashed.. stretched though the effect looks the same. The VC on that model was never their finest hour but it was par for it's time. I considered the original Friday 13th paint one of Gerry Flores finest works.. his BEST work when the Halifax was released but I admit I've not looked at that paint for a while now.. I only fly the civvie CMk8/Halton.
Is there a default keystroke for cowl flaps in FSX Paul?? I ask that having just realised the coding for them may be different
All in all, it looks like a bit of a mix'n'match and dare I say it, perhaps not worth the effort although a new airfile might be good as the original was.. err.. lacking
EDIT.. last comment noted

Shame really, there are some good quality versions of aircraft missing in FS.
In FSX I would kill to have a quality Sea Fury.

Paul..
I've just had a dig around with the original release and the cowl flaps don't move on that either mate. They're there and they look like they
should move but there's no sign of a cowl flap gauge in the cfg and the flaps don't move with the default Ctrl+shift+C/V (close/open)

Dave
If you look at the model in ACM you can tick I think it's call animation end or something
However, in one setting you'll see it in flying attitutde, all clean and closed up and the other with the wheels flaps down doors open all animated parts open etc.......that way you can tell if there is any animation on the cowlflaps as they will show two extreme positions of any animation
Just a thought

Hello Mate..
I can't remember ever trying to close them as there was no obvious cowl flap gauge but I'll have a look in ACM
