Hello Mate..

No.. not that bad at all. I suspected the mismatch of panel/model combinations was the cause of the engine cut so didn't bother saying anything before. I WILL get around to getting up to date and soon ;)

Oh.. the Vanguard SFS does the same as the Comet too. Never noticed before as I usually land by the lights but every now and again, I click the top switch to 1 to pick the beams up and this has always worked. I looked today and found N2 was the radio in tune :-O

Hi Joe :hello:

All the latest versions of DM's Comets are at his site mate (www.dmflightsim.co.uk if you'd forgotten) :) Problems (as I had which were completely avoidable) can happen if you download the latest models and not the latest panel which goes with them and while it was a simple matter for me to get my old panel to work with the new model, the end result was less than ideal. I was happy with the older model but forced to 'move up' by DM's latest paints which only fit the latest models (damn that man!)

Go get em Joe.. you'll be glad you did ;)

OK , now I'vs read the readme
(just to prove it)
5) there is no number five

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding your meaning in the panel and sound zips readme instruction as to what actually goes into where.

It says "in English mind you"
2) Everything in this 'Aircraft' folder needs to go into your 'Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft' folder exactly as it is.

does this mean the Aircraft Folder itself. OR
the DMFS Shared Files folder or the DH106 Comet 4 Sound folder or the contents thereof.

I'll just put on some coffee and wait....... :wasntme:

Hiya Joe :hello:

Right.. all the aircraft go into the aircraft folder and the panels and sound files go into DMFS Shared Files which ALSO goes into the aircraft folder so you should end up with something that looks like this..

If you look into the panel and sound folders of each aircraft, they alias to DMFS Shared Files ;)

Thanks for the tips on mix and match for the comet. I now have the old 2d models working in unison with the new panel.just superb. The only thing that i forget to do was transfer over the "lighting" from the old 2d a/c cfg to the new a/c cfg. My nav lights are working once again and the beacon lights are back in their correct place.

regards Frank..
