I don't think so
Ian

Erm, yeah they can, and a very international set of crumpet it is too

The only difference it makes is England losing the world cup 8 years earlier than normal.

According to todays "Currant Bun" the Russians were aware they had secured the bid to host the 2018 WC 24hrs before FIFA announced the winning bid to the world yesterday...

Well done to Russia though,i dont suppose you can blame FIFA for wanting to give the tournament to countries that have never hosted it before. If this is going to be their future philosophy it could be a long time before the tournament returns to a host European country.

Well I am sure Putin and his little lapdog are pleased. It does not bother me as I am not a fan of footie. I think the sport has too many selfish, overpaid primadonnas like Mr. Rooney. Looking on the bright side perhaps we can send some of our neantherdal yobs over to cause some trouble to both Russia and Qatar and we wont see them for quite a while. But then I suppose we will have the British Press complaining they have been unfairly treated.
I am just waiting to see how this government will manage to cock up the Olympics.
Meldrew moment over.
