I think we
all have our moments Joe but have been lucky enough (by and large) not to have them immortalised on digital media

I've been tempted before now to go and put soap suds all over the car and let the rain do the rest but fortunately, sanity has prevailed

To be fair there was at least one occasion I polished my car after the sun had gone down so it wasn't too hot! In my limited defence it was a black car so tended to get slightly warm on those rare days in the UK it's sunny.
My current car is hiding under a few inches of snow and as it's rear wheel drive with low profile tyres I'm not even going to try going anywhere!

I won't admit to cleaning my van when it's raining....cheapskate that I am
For the past eight years I've been driving a 30-year-old LHD VW T25 campervan...pop-up roof, two double bunks, cooker, sink, fridge....unfortunately no heating, it takes a 10 mile drive just to de-frost the windscreen, a lot longer to warm up the inside.
However...given current conditions, if necessary it's nice to know that I can pull up and bivvie, make a brew

Hey you lot across the pond - if you have to drive, drive carefully. Stay warm and safe. I survived our ssnowpocalypse last year by drinking lots of hot tea and the occasional

You may want to try that.
