DaveB wrote:Okey doh mate. One of the lads highlighted a new tool (freeware) that is supposed to change mdls to statics for just such scenery so I wondered if you'd used it. The thread should be pretty current and I think it was in the developers forum. Making them whizz off once a week is no great hardship though and I'd find it easier too ;)

I've used that tool to make statics for my own Dux. (get it here: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumd ... php?f=114) I successfully converted Ricks Viscount, DMs Trident & 1-11 & Jens Britannia and a couple of others. The tool only makes FS9 mdls, so I then used Arno's ModelConverterX (http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=87) to make them FSX native & reduce the number of textures & drawcalls. I'm very pleased with the results, but as I don't have permission, I can't share the models I'm afraid.

Thanks DaveG, I've replied :)

Well, now that I've got permission for the buildings I guess this can be released properly when its finished  I've just got the small matter of 90 % of the buildings and the landclass to finish...and some flightplans as well of course!
