Someone here asked me a long while ago, what colour the belly was painted on RL, might have been Fraser or Garry , anyway I was pretty positive it was dark, battle ship grey, and I think this pic shows it very nicely.

DaveB, I'm hoping to receive a very nice pic of one of the Vanguards, my ex is night stopping with her husband in a couple of weeks, BA LHR-YUL, the pic was taken after the "D"check at Perpinan, never been seen before, I'll hopefully be able to send you a copy.

The bottom was actually very dark blue....like BOAC but darker

The BN2 was definately vinyl type stickers but I'm 99% sure the Argosy was painted.

Yes John.. an off the cuff remark covering both when only one was intended. There's just too much AA paint on the Argosy for that to be stickered on The good news is that Garry now has 5 shots as reference when once he had none
