I have this kit to build at some point. However I wont be going that mad at detailing the interior. Really what is the point when you wont be able to see a fraction of the interior?

Well I have started on my Stirling, my first kit for at least 25 yrs and the first thing I've noticed is my eyes aren't as sharp as they were. The modelling knife is though!

Make sure you have plenty of bright light.

Amazing how the eyes fade :'( . Looking through some fleet list books this afternoon to answer another question on here, and I can't believe the small font size! Could I read this once upon a time?

Hope your on the mend Paul :agree: . I had to laugh at your comment above, I've just built a model of HMS Newcastle at 1:700 scale for my father in law's birthday in January. He's a retired Chief Petty Officer and Newcastle was his last ship. It was the first time in 23 years I'd made a model kit too and though it all came back to me, god it was a strain on the peepers

Best regards and good luck with the Stirling

I'm trying to get back in myself and the same props...unclear sight and poor co ordination and 'feel' in my fingers for the fiddly bits :'(

Paul,

I hope your recovery goes well, and that you're enjoying the Stirling build! I still have a B-17F kit stashed away somewhere but have never gotten around to starting on it.
