Ah, anyway I think the issue is the address within the address, going to the main anonymouse.org webpage and manually putting the forum URL in will be the best way.

As for Norton............that's a reflex action to any anti-virus problems. Normally correct 99% of the time. It's the AV version of the IT Crowd's "Have your turned it off and on again?"

And that 99% of the time works!

Anyway, with internet filtering its very hard to get round it, as all your internet traffic will pass through a proxy, this in turn requests the website, you could try bypassing this but most likely it wont work, or you could try google cached websites...

How to do this is by doing a google serch for the website in question (obviously you require access to google)
then on the serch listing you should see a cached link (in blue next to the url)

Here is the cached link for the forums so try this; http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... ogle.co.uk

P.S you wont be able to login or reply to any posts but if your just reading this may do... Or ask your IT guys very nicely :cpu: 0:) :hide: ...

The place I work recently cracked down on all "non essential or business related" sites. :dunno:

I just sneak my iPad in and use my phones' 3G connection... :)

If anyone did click on that and now has trouble getting rid of that Anonymouse bloody popup over all sites you now visit...Let me know and I will let you know how to get shot of that crap showing up on Firefox. Don't know how you would do it on IE but I think it would be easier. I repeat...That IS malware and the perpetrators should be shot.

I've just clicked the link and I have Firefox. But I have no popups appearing.

The only affiliate sites are those below on this screenshot, they are safe if the affiliates are green as they have been tested the only one greyed out is the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights website and they aren't known for being Nigerian scammers.

The only phishing related to it was an erroneous evaluation from phishtank.com which was made in error and has been removed.

No idea why you are getting those, maybe a paypal or doubleclick advert was compromised and your Avast didn't block it, which could happen at any time as they are everywhere on the internet. Have you updated your Avast AV as this will also remove the false positive you got - http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=64315.0

Hi Peter..

I dunno what to say mate. I'm on IE7 here and simply clicked on the 'X' to remove the ad and it went.. unlike some that sit under the page you have open. I've been to a few sites since this morning including Flightsim.com, YouTube, Simmarket, Windows Live Mail to name but a few.. all without any problem. Perhaps I was lucky in that I'm on WinXP SP3 32-bit with IE7.. whatever it is targetting the newer systems *-) KasperskyAV 2010 has been particularly active over the past few days pulling several Trojans off ebay pages (iFramer being particularly active) but looking at todays results, it shows nothing :dunno:
EDIT:.. just opened Nasa TV in Firefox and that was clear too though again, my firefox isn't the all-singing Win7 version.

Dave,

I also clicked on the X and it closed...but re-opened every time I changed either page or site...No matter where I went, that f..ing thing popped up :wall: I don't mind the occasional popup appearing as long as it goes when I close it. I had to use an addon to Firefox to block it.

This site is also banned at work for me now. I think I get something silly like "category: military (banned)" on my screen as a warning message!

Irony is, I work in engineering, in research and development. Sometimes I have been looking for technical information and have found what looks like it might be a useful link in google only to get the same stupid message because the paper was produced by someone in the defence industry and 'netnanny' has decided I must be trying to figure out how to make a bomb or something :wall:

Do you want me to shoot to kill or wound them so they suffer ......

I owe you one Peter, I saw your post hyper reading before I clicked on the link.
I can't say if it is malware or isn't .......glad I'll never know.

anyway can't imagine Darren wouldn't do anything on purpose 0:)

I remember a link I left on a story. RP left a thanks for me about the popups he got , ......and I never got a one.... :dunno:

Exactly :)

I've clicked the link myself 20 times or more since and nothing has happened.
