Re: VIckers Vanguard Merchantman Throttles ?

Hi JB
As the gauge code seems to react in this odd fashion on certain setups and not others, without a rewrite.. I don't think so mate. From what I've seen, the newer the system.. the faster the ports e t c.. the throttles will chatter. On my XP2400.. it works exactly as it should. On my XP3200, I started seeing chattering at flight idle and on this pc (E8400) it's slightly worse at flight idle. I don't see it at ground idle or on the ground at all unless I've been clever and left the gust locks in. Fraser may revisit the Vanguard at some point but I don't believe he has any plans to do so in the near future.
The problem is probably being exacerbated by the CH Throttle quad as I remember before I gave mine away what a complete cow turbo props were to control with any degree of accuracy. I loved it for flying piston twins using 2 levers for throttle, 2 for pitch and 2 for fuel and the additional 6/12 switch positions were very useful but for everything else, I was never comfortable.
