It probably would, but I'm just not that keen on eating peas. I'm a green beans man, myself.
Grew up sitting on my GrandMa's back porch snapping them as a kid... while the lady folk worked in the kitchen, and the men folk sat out on the front porch discussing politics and the world's troubles. Simpler times, back then.

Yes, simpler times when women knew ..... oh, better not go there! Joking anyway because I have a daughter and that changes your perspecttive on things in a hurry.

I hear ya Nigel. [waxing nostalgically] Back then it seemed perfectly natural. I never
once heard any of the women complaining about doing all the work while the men just stood around. The women were happy chatting away in the kitchen like a bunch of hens, while us kids were having fun on the back porch snapping green beans and shucking corn. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back to those days. *sigh* [/waxing nostalgically]
