Interesting thread. I wonder regarding the operational lives of our modern aircraft and how much mileage we can get out of them with a typical Charter airline.
Then I have a scan at Airliners and see that the Russians are more than happy to continue operating old classics such as the Tu-134 and IL-18 in everyday operational passenger service. Many of which have 40+yrs service under their belt.
Now thats value for money.
