Sorry, got a bit impatient there.... ;)
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

I downloaded them and tried them out, but for the few items of added functionality which I detected I could not really see the point and strangely I was left without a functioning VSI and one or two other items . And frankly, if it is to be "as real as it gets" , making the thing over-complex ruins all pleasure , because it is impossibly successfully to replicate what was actually a four crew operation ( on EAA for instance it was two pilots, engineer and navigator ) and still make it possible for a single person to cope with it .

I never came any longer than to take a peek into the code, to see the work behind if you like ...

Well it is quite well-commented, and filled with pseudo code for other things to be "improved" as well.

I believe that the task was perhaps more of a wish to try to make a more complex working panel, updated towards todays standards... sort of a biased task to do I think, and I also wonder..."What's the purpose". :dunno:

I don't think that the current DM version actually NEEDs more buttons to push, pull or turn. After all thet number one is to get in the air, not spend all the precious hard-earned flying hours sitting at the tarmac....

If one should alter anything, I would rather prefer extending Davids already fine panel, with action to those buttons that are modelled, but with no code behind, or those not modelled at all e.g. the Auto pilot Power-on button or separating the de-ice switches etc. etc ... but then again... "What's the purpose" *-)

But if you use it as a "... for reference" panel and a good example-given tutorial, I think it is worth the download. Otherwise not.

Well that was just my tuppence.... I won't do any FSX-ing of it.

And btw. Nigel: David has never promised me or anyone else for that matter, a VC version of his Panel. And frankly I don't need one to fly the VC10

What would be interesting though, is if it will also work in "Flight" and if it won't if David still has the interest in (re-)modelling it, this time all from scratch maybe ... none-one can tell, perhaps not even David himself ;)
Best Rgds
