As its not possible, at the moment, to upload to Britsim, Brian Franklin has graciously allowed a download link to the Venom on the front page at Simshed.

What a really nice aircraft the Venom is, Rob is fast becoming THE FSX freeware developer of British aviation nowadays and each product is better than the one before! My only complaint (and it is trivial), is the flashing reflection of the anti-coll in the cockpit, even in daylight! That said, I think I have complained about that in almost all FSX models I have have beta tested! Great work Rob!

Thanks Trev,
I know what you mean but have not a clue how to cure it!
Here are some very nice re-paints by Peter Watkins, should be available soon at Britsim.

That's an issue with the stock FSX beacon effect rather than any specific aircraft model(s). A2A/Shockwave fixed the issue with their 3D Lights package. They provide a number of beacon options several of which cast no light in the VC. The same issue may even exist in FS2004 but it's been so long since I flew in that sim I can't remember. The only time I fly in FS2004 now is for the Round The World Race every February.Trev Clark wrote:My only complaint (and it is trivial), is the flashing reflection of the anti-coll in the cockpit, even in daylight! Does this not beg the question of when flashing/rotating beacons were introduced to British ( or foreign) military aircraft?
(Sorry being Devils advocate as I dont know the answer).

Do I spot there amongst Peter Watkin's plethora of great repaints: No. 266 (Rhodesia) Squadron RAF?
That should make Peter Mcleland a very happy man

Peter Watkins has 12 repaints up in the BritSim library with 2 more being finished off.
Downloads ok no problems.
