Rick has made a few ferries including P&O cross channel, and Channel Islands, Marin Marie and Sark Venture.

Hi

I have several ships collected over the last year and some converted to AI ships. Here are the ferries.

I like that Sark Venture tug. Where can I get this?

Has anyone a Hovercraft for AI traffic in the channel?

Regards

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thats a good collection. I have some AI hovercraft in the channel, but not sure if the model was released by the developer or if he just gave it to me for testing. I'll find out and let you know :)

Ben.. you did an AI Ferries set for me a while back but I can't remember the name of the file (AI Ferries isn't showing anywhere). Is this what you've been looking for or additional boat traffic? *-)

Hi Dave,

I have a fair bit of AI shipping (Although I still can't find the Thoresen one!) but I was just hoping there had been more models done and I just hadn't found the website with them. Given that many of the ferries from the 70's / 80's were still in existance many years after their P&O / TT / Sealink lives where over, I was hoping to find more. I have all of Ricks ones though ;) I'm just surprised that globally there seems to have been limited interest in the AI shiping in FSX :(

Yes.. there's either too much or too little! I went to Portsmouth the other day having revisted Trevor's Pompey Airport and the dockyard was full.. TOO full. A US carrier group appeared to be there (though the carrier was still out at sea) along with Intrepid/Fearless and Hermes.. both of which were moored 'bow on' They disappeared though :-O

Must have a look at FSShipyards again.. it'd be nice to have some liners coming out of Soton/Liverpool ;)

Hi Dave, Happy New Year mate. I know you dont normally fly FSX but as a little tempter the AI Boats program used with Google earth makes it very easy to set up your own AI schedule from wherever you like.

Hi Brian :hello:

Happy New Year to you too mate  Yeah.. I've been told it's easy to schedule AI Boats but have yet to take the plunge (I get Ben to do it for me) :worried: I'm trying to use FSX more.. so much so I bought Treescapev2, Guernesey, Alderney, VFR Airportsv3 and today.. Treescapev3. This gives me up to Scotland as I want to see it airport and scenery-wise.. I already have Scotflight and Horizons Western Isles and I'll continue to chip away at it. However, I don't like using aircraft with incorrect paints/registrations on the VA and FS9 has spoiled me in this respect as almost all the aircraft I fly HAVE correct livery/reg combinations (though I had to paint a good few myself). I don't like this upside down/reverse image lark for FSX.. I find it difficult enough painting stuff the right way round! I thought about starting on the Rapides today but there are so many on the fleet and too few already painted.

BTW.. is that compiler called aibtc.exe?? I found it on my system today and it just happens to be one of the programs that need Java (which I've just uninstalled) to work?? 8)
