The Almighty broke the mold after He made Armstrong. Strong, intelligent, dedicated, patriotic and humble - the embodiment of all that a classical hero should be. I always immensely respected his desire to remain largely out of the limelight after Apollo 11, even despite the insidiously appealing allure of fame and fortune. Godspeed, Neil Armstrong. You will never be forgotten.

Indeed mate. There have been many firsts and more will follow but that one was a blinder. :rock: I was captivated by it all as a kid.. Yuri Gagarin, John Glenn and the whole Apollo mission. Space.. little green men.. Dan Dare. Every young boy (I knew) wanted to be a spaceman when they grew up. I never envisaged being a Grumpyoldman instead :lol:
