Ian, thanks for the details. Yes, that's why I am still on FS9 - I love all the classic aircraft especially the ones found here, so that was one reason I never upgraded to FSX (even if it does have elephants - or so they say...). The other was my comfortable set of utilities which only work on FS9 (FSNav etc).

But if I compare the ORBX scenery to the bleak and blocky effort in FS9, I am sorely tempted.

I might hang on though and see how P3D develops next year.

Keep posting the pics, Ian. They are a treat for the eyes...

From what I've seen of the shots CH.. FSX isn't that different. I keep FS9 as my 'main' sim for the same reason you do but I often, increasingly more often, open FSX and enjoy it's benefits. That said, with the various GenX areas, UK VFR Airports and Treescapes.. it's not been a cheap ride as the default FSX world is little improved over the default FS9 world IMHO. My FS9 world is as far from default as it can be and I only have the UK upgraded to a 'like' standard in FSX so I don't fly anywhere else in FSX  The ORBX scenery works in FSX and P3D so you can still enjoy all the benefits in both should you desire ;)
