I think that upper surface roundels would be visible - just about - in the picture I posted if present. The 32 Squadron 146's don't have wing roundels so I'd be a little surprised if this aircraft did.

I think that's only to enable it to test fly uncertified equipment otherwise it would probably be pure civil
That and they can follow military flight rules which opens up the low flying system etc. which is why the Squirrels at Shawbury have military registrations, although when I was there they all had a G-Reg as well on a metal plate in the cockpit. I think once they stick a military registration on it by international law they have to stick national markings on it as well.
Incidentally post Haddon-Cave I doubt there's anything on there that's uncertified, it's just not been certified by the CAA.

Airliners like the Viscount, Britannia and Apollo for example all used military marking complete with roundels at various times during their test phase.
Opens more doors and this will be same, only varying in that it's the on board equipment rather than an airframe/engine combination that need testing.

Again, the 32 Sqn 146's don't have wing roundels, but do have low-visibility roundels incorporated into the fuselage stripes. So, that does reinforce your point: the military insignia are there, just not prominently displayed.

Gosh, very interesting! I saw one of these aircraft in Dublin last spring and it definitely didn't have the wing roundels. Perhaps it was in for repainting, thought at the time I wondered whether CityJet had the service contract for the aircraft as it was parked outside the CityJet hangar.

They do look different don't they. I do think that's a smashing livery though. Has anyone seen any photos of the other 146 for QuinetQ?
