Canopus was always a none starter as it was never a standard machine and always used for testing.
It was unlike any other Comet
G-APYD at Wroughton is a better bet..but that's not going to happen

Like Tonks pointed out, VTTS is struggling for money even with such a much loved aircraft which in my eyes has more of a fan base than any VC-10 would, so to get a VC-10 in the sky again would flop and be a deffinate waste of money

As long as they can keep one to taxi and do the take off run at Bruntingthorpe, I'll be made up.
To still be able to hear the engines and see it prowl around there would be awesome.
In fact, if there is to be only one left in running condition, I'd prefer it not to run the risk of flying.
I just want to be able to see and hear one again in the future.

Agree wholeheartedly with that and whats more, we can always put Tonks's name forward to undertake the take-of runs once in a while.
