Classic British Flight Sim

John. Thanks for telling us about this and Brian, thanks for elaborating on it. After reading this thread, I paused long enough to read the thread on SOH and then bought it. It looks like a gorgeous package and will be the perfect addition for my classic Alaskan bush-flying hangar. As Milton Shupe says on that thread, 'This just might be THE most exciting package of the year! Awesome!'

Even better is that Bill Lyons is now a devout P3D fan and he even created one of the default Mooneys for Lockheed Martin for that sim. So I know it's going to be perfect. I love his approach to sim design: he likes to make it fun and there are so many fun touches with this one, not to mention all the Alaskan scenery extras that come with it.

Anyway, enough waffle. It's sitting in my downloads folder so I'd better get on with releasing it and letting it fly

I bought it for the float plane version and I am very pleased with it...The package installs straight into P3D I did my first flight in it out of the Ravine and I also did a landing and takeoff at Mountain Lake. It flies very nicely and has good sounds and water effects.

BTW Bill has done an update already in response to some requests and problems. This is what it does:

Build 1.01 Updater Installer.

*This should fix all ignition switches on FSX planes that are not functioning
*Adds a Bush panel to the Classic Tail Draggers (requested)
*Adds a Bush panel to the Tri-Pacer family (requested)
*Fixes the mis-aligned rear beacon on the Tri-Pacer
*Fixes data sheet link in the Tri-Pacer
*Makes the fuel mixture 'manual' on all planes
*Updates the planes from version One to Build 1.01
*Increases starter torque from .200 to .400

That's it...no more flying in Alaska. I was exploring Bill's Alaska scenery and flew into a rather tight canyon...only to learn that the only way out of the rather tight canyon was the same way you came in. I pushed the throttle to the panel, dove to treetop level, pulled sharply up...past the vertical, once I was inverted with the nose 45 degrees or so down or up (depending on your point of view) I did a half roll back into the upright position and pulled back into level flight. *whew* Great fun!!

The Skylark was highly praised when first released and I've had his Tailwind since shortly after release and it's a really nice bird, fast (ish) but a little short on range for longer legs but that just means you get to land more often to refuel!

After I posted that I remembered about those aircraft, and also his classic Bellanca series. I'd be over the moon if he would produce a Globe Swift.
