Well done, Nev. When Dave wrote, "I've only ever seen our American cousins do this sort of thing before...", I was about ask if if he'd really never seen the Queen's Colour Squadron of the RAF Regiment in action but you beat me to it.

Do you think he has something against "the crabs"?

That was when we had proper Gats to play with; none of these mamby pamby SA80's. Particularly hard to present arms in such a tight formation.

Funnily enough, what impressed me most was they way they all fired in one perfect bang. Even the slightest mismatch would have shown up.

Honestly.. no, I haven't. :lol:
Agree the SLR/FN looked more like a rifle than these SA80's. What little drill I did as a kid was done with a Lee Enfield .303.. a tidy looking weapon but one which weighed similar to a giant Red Wood :lol:
