2 units used to be a good rule of thumb but that's neither here nor there. As an example, a 440ml can of Boddies at 3.5%ABV comes in at 1.5 units so in theory, you couldn't have a couple of cans and still drive. If I know I have to drive, I don't drink.. simple.
Anyway.. you don't mean to tell me that the Irish in those rural areas don't flaunt the drink/driving laws anyway. I heard tell they still smoke in pubs too
