Dave.

You might find it difficult to get hold of a monkey.

You should find something suitable down at the local labour exchange *-)

That Minkey looks vaguely familiar *-)

Garry.. I was thinking more along the lines of nipping to the local Government offices

Joe.. funny as that phot is, I think we may just have gone above our safety threshold. Perhaps an alternative might be more suitable.. I'd hate for us to get attacked here (the website that is) by Islamic extremists. Websites have been hit for much less ;) I'm sure Ben has us stitched up like a kipper but I don't want it put to the test :cpu:

It's interesting. Looks like a mini rip off of the F-22 or JSF, but the same could almost be said of the recent Chinese 'stealth' fighter. A few things strike me as strange:

The wings have a bizarre planform, could work though I suppose.

Very strange slight dihedral of the wings and then very strong anhedral of the tips, like TSR.2 only more severe. I think TSR.2 had no anhedral or dihedral of the main wings though.

The engine intakes look too small - perhaps this thing is not much bigger/heavier than a Hawk, question is what engine would be powering it and where would they get a supply from. Knowing how much trouble the Indians had had with their Kaveri engine development for their indigenous Tejas fighter, developing their own engine to go into it would be no small undertaking.

Perversely, I am kind of impressed that they're trying though. If they really have built such an aircraft (yes it's a huge IF), it just goes to show that a single nation development IS still possible (and why the heck aren't we doing something like that?).

We'll probably get a good idea of how good it is when it's got an F-18's nose up it's a**e over the Gulf :fly:

Or is it a 21st Century suicide bomber????

Basically, I think someone had too much time on the internet and decided to smash together several different designs, mainly the Boeing X-36 - http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/factsh ... asp?id=358

The US has flown a plane with tips like that and it's on display at the NMUSAF, but I can't remember the name of it right now to pull it up. I agree though that I highly doubt this thing is truly flyable.
