I tried turning Ground Scenery Shadows on and my naked Hurricane did indeed cast a shadow. However, I realised as soon as I'd turned that setting on why I'd previously had it switched off.. the FPS hit

For me.. statics with a built-in shadow are a must

Yes it's always risky - you will get the shadow you want but you'll also get one for every tree, building etc etc etc......

Some amazing clouds today at Duxford. Took the Spitfire, P51 and P47 up for a spin.
A2A (The original one) P51.
Real Air Spitfire with some pretty amazing clouds (REX 2.0 and a screen size tweak).
A nice pair of Jugs (A2A Accusim and AI).
Weather updated and then back to cloudy realism.
I flew the Jug from the Needles, via Dartford and down the M11.
Quite sunny on the coast. Bit hazey over Dartford. Cloudy over Duxford. Not just a flightsim but
a good way to tell the weather!
