Not so much the look of the aircraft that concerns me but the advance of technology in aviation has taken all the exitement and challenges of flying away from me, it is becoming far too technical for me brain!! 
This is one reason why, even if I could afford them, I would not buy an A380 or the Boeing Dream Liner to fly in FSX. OK, nothing to say that you cannot still use the NDB and ADFs' instead of the FMC but you still have to look at the ugly glass screens. No, give me the good old anologue instruments any day using just the ADF and NDBs', so much more satisfying reaching your destination yourself instead of an FMC doing it for you.
OK, I'll now go get me coat!!

I understand what you say about the technology, but to be honest it is very much a different challenge. With a few thousand hours in old ac such as the Nimrod and the VC10 there was a certain joy from operating an old ac... with the more modern "glass" there is a completely different challenge and joy to be had. I only have a few hundred hours of A330 time but I have to say I really do enjoy this new challenge.
I don't think it will ever matter what scheme you put on a 380 it will always be ugly, but having spent a wee bit of time in the cockpit of one it is a nice office... and the great bit is she looks rather pretty from that view LOL!

Many thanks for your reply although you say, there is a completely different challenge and joy to be had, for me personally, trying to get to grips with something like an FMC even before learning about the various modern systems that are available with aircraft such as the A380 would soon have me utterly and completely confused.com!!
I suppose it all boils down to being able to adapt easily to change which I find difficult (when it comes to modern aircraft technology) so prefer to stick with something I know and understand hence my wanting to continue with anologues rather than with the modern glass cockpits!!

I never got past the opening shot due to some clown introducing "music" - aircraft = aircraft, music = CD or such, but for me, never the twain.
