Yes Mike, I was coverered on the news here. As you would expect, the BBC World News had the most TV coverage, even showing a clip of the infmous interview with the broadcaster who was later fired for asking if Julia's partner was gay, but even the American networks mentioned her party had ditched her. In the final analysis, I supose turnabout if fair play.

Only 3 discs in the CD player? Those could last 3 hour plus. I think your pulling my leg on that one. :S

Again, but while we're on the subject (now that's an oxymoron)...
Time Team has been axed, god forbid we keep an interesting yet admittedly niche but popular programme, and now apparently Radio 4 are chopping Material World. Shows like these make middle class thinkers like me feel intelligent, without them I'm forced to choose between Jeremy Paxman or Jeremy Kyle... 8)

Nigel,
Now would I lie to you, just to get into your record collection?
We indeed do have a player with a rotating carrier capable of holding 3 discs. I've even seen them for 5 discs. Maybe it was one of those gadgets that did not get USA interest, and the manufacturers dumped them in Australia? We often find that the "latest" whizz bang things offered turn out to be end of production leftovers that the rest of the World has tired of.

Mr Blackswan;
I guess that the two Jeremies are are a couple of the 5,000 gay male hosts who seem to cram every spare moment on our BBC imports? Gay-friendly is fine, but it almost seems to be a required qualification to get air time nowadays.
Cheers, Mike.

Mike,
I believe you becaue I have a Sony CD pkayer that holds 5 CD's. Its is a few years old now, but I am sure they were avalable world wide. I just thought 3 CD's "for play" was a few too many, especially in view of that joke the Aussie lady told. I would suggest you only load one CD single at the most!

Yep..the party is voted as the peoples choice not the PM, although many see it a voting a person. It's the Queen who appoints the PM and it is the case that she always chooses the elected parties choice of PM, she asks him to form a Government. A change of leadership of the party can see a new PM during a term as happened with Gordon Brown, and John Major
