Blimey I still have a Timex from 1983 when my wife temped at their offices in Ealing. Still works, keeps good time and cost £3.50.

Strewth!.Looks like a case of chronological overkill!A bit too intricate for me Peter.I wonder if it can foretell next weeks lottery numbers
Peter,if that's what you fancy just go for it and enjoy it.

Eric,
I'm very fond of my Titanium Skyhawk, but I do wear a more basic timekeeper in gold for weddings and funerals:-

Well I bought the Red Arrows Watch at Goldsmiths in Brent Cross and I have to say I love it!..Lots of improvements over my previous Eco Drive Watch. My wife doesn't like it though...Thinks it is a bit flashy and poor taste! It has a 115 page manual which I am now digesting

I like the Radio Control feature...You park it on a window sill at night and point the nine o'clock position towards Frankfurt and it synchronises with the DCF77 Transmitter at 2:00 AM, and if it fails then it tries again at 3:00 AM and again at 4:00AM if necessary. Mine seems to get the signal well and it is very nice to have a watch that is always exactly right to the second. I guess the iPad IOS 7 clock must do something similar as that is always right too.

I have a Casio Wave Ceptor which does that and cost a hell of a lot less
I think I can see where your wife is coming from but what the heck.. if you're happy with it, what else matters

It's a great time piece

Peter,
That looks like some cockpits.....too much info in such a small space. How in H**l does one read the time without a big magnifying glass, as It doesn't seem to have a HUD!

It also has 43 cities in the World and a spare one for the user to insert...I made that on PLZ (Port Elizabeth in South Africa, where a friend lives). You can select any of them on the digital display on the right and then as you near your destination, you press both buttons simultaneously and the displays swap with the hands moving quickly to your destination time and the digital swaps to your home...Then on the way home you can press the same two buttons and your home time is back on the hands. Another nice thing about this one is that Summer Time is automatically applied by the radio signal and that saves me the six-monthly chore of updating them manually as on my previous model.
The ring computer around the case is identical to my RAF Mark 4A Computer Dead Reckoning and with the red and black scales it is much easier to read than my previous all titanium one...I use that quite often in MS Flight on Jobs; mostly for ETAs
