Thanks for the info. Peter. Pretty sure I have that bookmarked. Watched the Royal Flying Doctor Service come into Jandacot last year, using it.

Dave, spellbound throughout that video. Brave lads indeed putting the ropes (hawsers?) on the bollards (?) [not a great deal of maritime activity and discussion here in the highland goldfields] It may be possible to get your ship that close to shore, after all, we can put seaplanes on the beach. I've often wondered why we don't have more realistic waves around obstacles (don't want much, do I?) We have walking people, birds, swirling engine smoke, but FSX waves are a let down. If you have a suitable roll-off point, there are numerous car ferries available, including the Sealink one I made for Ben, which has animated front & rear doors and seagulls. Ben didn't request moving vehicles, but if you ask nicely, who knows?
TBH I don't know how they would be controlled once they depart the ramps, they'd probably smash into scenery, which would probably terminate the sim. :dunno:
Bu99er!, now you've got me started!  :cpu:

Interesting . I think in fact that it is GS that Flightradar puts out and the jet stream was very strong on Sunday . I followed my son's flight in an A340-600 and once past the Belgian coast eastbound it was showing as 570 knots and it maintained this until well into the Czech republic !!

It is GS AFIK...or so I think having looked at it many times

I often see aircraft on opposing courses with 150 mph or so difference in speed.
