I wasn't joking about Shrewsbury . A bunch of gentlemen thought that it would be great fun to nail each others' appendages to the woodwork ! Eventually they were charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent ( or a similar offence, I can't remember which ) . The defence was that you could not be convicted of such an offence if the victim had consented. That was rejected at the Crown Court, and in the Court of Appeal, and I have a feeling it went to the House of Lords, with the same result. The moral is, if you are interested in this rather peculiar pursuit, do it yourself !

I once spent a rainy afternoon in Shrewsbury, I can see how it might drive you to strange practices. :worried:
