That surprises me (sorry for the delay - been away).
Did you update the firmware? That made a big difference for those complaining of spikes etc.
Also, there was a simple fix-it for the spiking R1 dial on the throttle. Look on YouTube for a simple demo of the procedure.
If you still don't like it, well, everyone has their preferences of course. For me, it's fine, though I have put it to one side for now to try and get along better with my Warthog in non-DCS sim's.

The spiking of R1 is caused by a simple error of the wire snagging on a screw (yup - for £300-ish they couldn't avoid something as simple as that!).
If you can't get hold of the firmware updates due to them not supporting the G940 any more, let me know and I'll upload mine.
The last driver was 5.10 (5.10_x64 if you have a 64bit O/S), though it was never listed as a G940 driver, for some strange, unknown reason. The last firmware update was FW0142.

Thanks John for the offer but I have the 510_x64 drivers. I have worked out a compromise which seems to work after a fashion. I am using the Saitek X52 throttle and the G940 J/S and pedals. At least this way I have pedals

and I use some of the Force Feedback functions of the J/S. The silver hat switch won't work though

It only clicked

today that the G940 J/S and pedals can be used independent of the throttle. Only drawback is that 2 USBs are now being used instead of 1. I have a Hun though
Today I ordered 2 Saitek Pro Throttles
http://www.ncix.com/detail/madcatz-sait ... 8-1234.htm which should arrived next week provided Purolater - don't lose it, they are good at that.

RANT MODE ENGAGED - Take cover - INCOMING!
WHAT!!!!! Logitech no longer support the G940! Now that makes me MAD

The damned thing costs $400 and they can at the drop of a widget stop supporting it? Well I will never stoop to purchase any Logitech product ever again. Not surprised though, about 1 year ago I purchased a Keyboard and Mouse by them through Costco. It was really shoddy and the keyboard felt more like the old Spectrum rubbery membrane thing. Thankfully Costco here have a very liberal returns policy and took it back.
I blether on too long, thanks for your input John. ATB.

I'm surprised at that, Alex. I always favour Logitech keyboards because the ones I have are easily the best keyboards I've ever had. I hang on to them for years - had this one about 6 years and the one on my other decent PC is at least 10 years old. They are really great.
Maybe they've gone downhill since...
I never fancied their really flash gaming boards, though.
