Why is the MoD selling it? Cut backs in budgets to look after it, I presume.

The timescale is very short. it is as if they really want to scap it but give an unrealistic chance to have it saved to counteract the moaning when it happens.
Mike...It was a combination lack of availiable plugs for the kitchen sink and an acute shortage of certified Avro Shackleton tea pots that finally grounded the type
