Indeed
Soviet types are still quite common in these parts with the smaller airlines.
Left over from the old days. New equipement is Western except for in Ukraine which has it's own airliner and transport manufacturing company, Antonov.
there is still a lot of Russian infrastructure, trains, lorries, tram in use in the former SSSR states, but they are not popular an all would have been gone long ago it could. Same with the aircraft.Not even the Russians want the older Russian types.
In Britain of course there are a lot of Boeings in dervice, but that doesn't make us American.
