If it helps, this URL should take you to the original picture:-

http://www.shuttleworth.org/news/free-l ... uary-2015/

The only trouble is that it is cropped at the top, which loses the Sun...i have not yet found how to get back into the huge collection of photos to scroll through. The first one is an uncropped version of this.

Here is a Google URL which leads to a much smaller set of nice photos, but sadly not the one in question:-

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/uv?hl=en& ... IABEKIqMAo

OK FOUND IT!...This URL will take you to the full set, starting with the uncropped original:-

There are 239 pictures in that album but you might have to be a Facebook person to get in there!

Thanks Peter, I did go & look at the Shuttleworth site yesterday & found it. Anyway I experimented in FS9 this morning & one can get a ground type fog to appear by manually selecting the weather & using stratus cloud at 100% with the tops just above ground level, but then to be perverse the cloud will not appear over my addon Old Warden from J-F!!!!
Now in experimenting in FSX, one cannot select stratus cloud tops less than 5000' seemingly & in trying yesterday FSX kept crashing & now today all of my addon aircraft will not take their textures, being all white!!! FSX supplied a/c are OK though, so now looks as if I've got to repair or reload FSX!!! I've already copied my aircaft & scenery to another disc in readiness.....hey ho.....not ho ho ho!!!
Keith

P.S.
The Shuttleworth facebook page is OK & have downloaded the picture - thanks for the link.

:hide: Found my FSX problem......I had inadvertently (?) click on DX10 preview.......all is well now & I can produce fog, but not low enough yet to be just a ground level. Bit more experimentation needed!

I had a quick try last night and got so-so results. It's impossible to get mist sitting a few feet above ground level.. 500ft worth or nothing
