Totally with Roger on this. Absolutely brilliant to see a British astronaut again.
I was thrilled to watch both the launch and the 'hatch opening' live.
What this country needs, is major investment in science, engineering and manufacturing - banking and service industries will get us nowhere.

No, I think his name is actually Peake . I am so pleased that it all went relatively smoothly . I had horrible feelings about all the hype, particularly that involving young children , who would have been gravely damaged had it all gone horribly wrong as did the similarly hyped Challenger launch in which the woman schoolteacher Mrs Macauliffe was killed . I remember that as one of the most sickening experiences of my life

Yes Challenger was awful but it just shows that although most Space flights are run by computers they still need Man to be there after yesterdays docking, it reminded me of Neil Armstrong's landing on the moon with Apollo 11,

It certainly made a refreshing change to see some good news on the tele!

Sunday the sky was clear here in the West Country and i watched the ISS come over, it is passing over the South of the UK all this week but the skies have been cloudy since Sunday and it does not look like it is going to be clear again but who knows it might be so if anyone is interested look on NASA ISS sightings for the times, it is just a bright light in the sky but to think those men are up there in it is just fantastic,

As an aside, i saw the Russian Sputnik as a light coming across the sky back in 1957, to think what has gone on since then! if only the US and Russia could have been like they are today we would have had a base now on the Moon.
