I take your point about Schumacher. I didn't like his tactics at times. That said he was still a great racer in my opinion. Taking licences away from racing drivers who display aggression and/or cause accidents unfortunately would reduce the field down to, probably, just the safety car. There are penalties for breaking the rules and the stewards enforce these. Additionally the teams will discipline drivers who cause problems not necessarily covered by the rules. Hamilton may be disciplined by the team for his conduct on Sunday, or not. For sure he will be racing again next year.
I do not agree with you that racing becoming safer is a problem. Thank goodness it has become so much safer and long may that continue. I remember too many fatalities in years gone by. It is inevitable that as racing cars and the circuits become safer the drivers will push to the limits.
