Vertigo Studios have a Dauntless Joe. It's a nice model and an absolute peach for carrier ops
Have a search and it can be got for very little money;)
Oh.. and welcome to the Lions Den Bazzar. What weren't you surprised about? The fact that the Helldiver is one of the few aircraft rejected by the RN or because that made me snigger

Interesting that they are planning a March release, I would have though there VC10 was further along and it would be release before.
Some clarification is needed I think.
Aeroplane Heaven has been building flight simulator products for 16years. In that time we have built over 60 titles for ourselves and other clients like JustFlight.
Projects like the BAC One-Eleben, VC10, Javelin, Meteor and Hunter are built for Just Flight and they control the output, timelines and specifications for those products, not us.
AH has the Typhoon and Helldiver currently in production (with a few more in the wings as it were) awaiting release. The Typhoon is imminent, the Helldiver is due for a March release. These have nothing to do whatsoever, with Just Flight or anyone else. They are strictly Aeroplane Heaven products, sold through a variety of vendor sites including Just Flight's on-line store.
In terms of workflow, we can produce several projects in paralell but aprojectlike the VC10 is vast in comparison to say, a Typhoon. So "smaller"projects like Typhoon can be released earlier.
How's that?

The initial Vought F4u Corsair was also rejected until the RN boffins got to work on the landing gear, IIRC.

I've read that Vought was already aware of the gear modifications the F4U Corsair needed for carrier ops, rather than it being something we discovered. However, the USN was equipping it's carriers with the Hellcat, and sending the Corsair to land-based USMC squadrons, so it wasn't quite as urgent an issue for them as it was for us. That's what I've read anyway.

Quite, we did a few other mods to the Corsair as well such as locking the top two cooling flaps shut to avoid oil fouling the windscreen. It's just with the Helldiver no one saw the point in bothering.
