I always remember the saying 'Don't take the piss out of Watneys. It needs all the flavour it can get.'

Maybe but Watneys is still far better than most American piss water beers.

Speaking of fizzy, dog potty American beers...back in the day my Dad drank Falstaff beer (named after a character from one of Shakespeare's plays no less). He'd often ask me to bring him one from the fridge while he watched his favorite shows on the TV. It's funny how the bottle never arrived at his chair completely full. :dunno: :wasntme:

I'm no expert on American beer, most of the ones I've had over the last few trips have been very nasty! But, I have to say, I do love Samuel Adams (the beer, not the man)  :guinn:

Yes, there are some half decent American beers, especially from smaller micro breweries, but Bud, Coors and Miller - regular or light, and their ilk are absolute abominations.

We have a smallish brewery here in Texas which makes a pretty nice beer. Shiner! https://www.shiner.com/
Shiner and Guinness are the only beers you'll find in my house. :)
