That's an interesting Fokker. I suspect not the quietest of cabins seated next to those engines. Not the best idea out of the design bin that day.

I sit corrected. Apparently one of the advantages of the engine placement was low noise levels for passengers!

Yep, a bespoke designed engine from Rolls specifically for the aircraft. It wasn’t a Fokker design, and certainly the view was that Fokker did their best to kill it.
