Some years ago, I read a report in New Scientist magazine where they tested many cold remedies. They also tested whisky and it was found to be equally as effective as the commercial cold/flu treatments. But, is far more pleasurable to take.
I suspect that report may have been written by Graham! :agree:
Probably !

I'm not so sure, I'd drink Nyquil or Night Nurse (which gives me nightmares! :( ) rather than drinking any foul tasting whisky on any day of the week. I don't know why people claim to love whisky when it just tastes like dirty ditch water to me. I can't get past that peaty mud taste at all. :S

I would invite you round to share my scotch, but I'm still contagious for Covid. Six days now of positive testing, and not feeling very much better. My wife is the same.

We are both deemed to be age vulnerable, as we are both octogenarians, but fortunately we don't have any underlying health problems. My wife is very annoyed because she is usually a bundle of energy, but this has stopped her in her tracks. I'm a bit more relaxed about it, and will wait for it to pass.

Fill that glass for me please dear. Ouch ouch!!

:)

No it's not nice at all, and not just like the flu either. over a year on and I'm still dealing with its after effects. Try and take Aspirin to help keep blood clots at bay.

On the road to recovery at last. I tested negative today after 14 days of positive. My wife has been clear for 4 days now.

:excited:

Glad to hear it. But as a doctor, I would strongly recommend you complete the course of prescription whisky to ensure complete recovery.
