3D printer job?
Keith
Hi Keith,
Have considered that. The large gear at the bottom is helical and would be difficult to draw at the requisite accuracy from scratch.
I have experienced this when creating knurled edges on some of my parts, creating segments, then copying and adjusting angles to complete the circle.
I can buy PLA/carbon fibre filament, which I imagine would be stronger than the standard PLA which I've been using.
In short, my first option is to try the casting.
If that fails, then I might just have to improve my engineering drawing skills, or find software to shortcut the process.

Helical - hmmm that puts a different degree of difficulty into a project unless Citroen can help I suppose?

I've found a "codeblock" for making helical gears, now I have to find how to turn it into a useable drawing

EDIT:
I'm coming to grips with customising the codeblocks, and have discovered the button which generates the drawing
This opens up a whole world of possibilities; I only hope that my battered mind (no exaggeration btw) can absorb the necessaries.

Continuing the saga...
Replacement nylon gear available for AU$99. That's not going to happen.
Mike, I'm making you a Yorkshireman. You have the right qualities.

Thanks Graham!
Does this mean I need to get measured for a cloth cap?
Should I go for moleskin? I think I prefer them to the Harris Tweed material.
